Carnival - Our annual family carnival is our most popular event of the year. Join us for food, fun games, exciting rides and inflatables. There is something for every age!
Council Delegate: The PTA Council Delegate attends district-wide PTA Council of Delegate Meetings on behalf of Hayes Elementary School. The Council Delegate also serves as the school's liaison to the greater Council should the need arise. Delegate meetings are scheduled in the evenings, making this role a great opportunity for parents with limited daytime availability.
Daddy-Daughter Dance - We transform our gymnasium into a special night for dads and their daughter(s) to dance the night away. A professional DJ, photo keep sake, and unlimited desserts are always a part of this spectacular night. *Great volunteer opportunity for moms and high school aged children.
Fifth Grade Party - The 5th graders will celebrate their Elementary graduation with a fun party with all their classmates. The party is held on campus the last week of school.
Fundraising - Raises money for community events, student programs, parent programs, and staff development and appreciation. Fundraising also supports special purchases like school marquee, iPads and Chrome books for the classrooms, playground equipment, and new flexible seating for our Hayes library.
Homeroom Parents - Homeroom Parents help connect parents in each class, show support for our homeroom teachers, and facilitate class parties.
Hospitality - Our team of volunteers will host teacher breakfasts, luncheons, provide sweet treats, and more all year long.
Mother-Son Game Night - Our annual event for all moms and their JHE boys. Games, food, and lots of fun as they take over the gymnasium and hallways for a little competition and quality time together. *Great volunteer option for dads, high school aged children, or anyone not attending.
National Education Holidays - We love our staff and love to honor them on all of the National Education Holidays (like National School Principal's Day, National School Counselor's Day, Bus Driver Appreciation Day, etc.).

School Store - Held throughout the year, students can shop for school spirit items and fun novelty items. This is a great lesson in making choices to fit their budget as well as counting money.
School Supplies - We coordinate with a school supply vendor to create school supply kits for each grade level. This is a major time and money saver for parents.
Sister Schools- Sister Schools is a district program that serves as an opportunity to create a partnership between two Katy ISD campuses that share common values and goals. The partnership or "sisterhood" goal is to share campus strengths with each other whether it be resources, ideas, or anything else that makes them great individually and even greater collectively.
Spirit Wear: PTA promotes school spirit by designing, selling, and delivering official Hayes Elementary spirit merchandise (like t-shirts and yard signs) throughout the year. Go Hawks!
Thankful and Friendship Parties - These two parent led parties are held during the school day. A fun way for our students to celebrate friendship and play games and laugh with their classmates. The parties last about 45 minutes.
Trunk-or-Treat - All Hayes Families and Community Members are encouraged to join us in the Hayes parking lot in an effort to bring awareness to food allergies through our fun, trunk or treat event. Bring your little ones and something to hold treats while you enjoy the sights and sounds of the October holiday season This is our way to thank our PTA members and their families for their support.
Watch DOGS - Calling all Dads! WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. Who are WatchDOGS? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in a variety of school activities as assigned by the school principal or other administrator.
Yearbook - This timeless treasure is a labor of love that our Yearbook Team spends the entire year working on as they gather photos capturing your child's time here at Hayes. It is the ultimate keepsake, and we are honored to provide this service for our Hawks!
